Haier is an Official Marketing Partner and the Official High-Definition Television of the NBA. Haier America’s headquarters is located in the landmark Haier Building in midtown Manhattan.

Haier broke ground on the Haier Industrial Park in South Carolina on April 30, 1999, marking Haier's entry into the US market. In April 2006, Haier and the National Basketball Association joined together in a marketing partnership and Haier is now the Official HDTV of the NBA.
